Rachel Alexander
Columnist and Legal Analyst
Rachel
Alexander is the editor of IntellectualConservative.com,
a website catering to intellectual conservatives and libertarians. She is a
writer who has won three awards for her columns; one from the Leadership Institute
- the Robert Novak award for Best Conservative Columnist - Honorable Mention,
one from the Second Amendment Foundation, and Grand Prize from the Intercollegiate
Institute for her investigative article on a Professor who was fired for teaching
Shakespeare. She is a former writer for the Arizona
Daily Wildcat as well as a member of their staff editorial board. She also
sits as a member of The American Partisan's Executive Committee to advise where
needed when her skills are called upon.
She currently writes for numerous e-zines on the web, including the International Oracle Syndicate. Employed as a a Deputy County Attorney with the Maricopa County Attorneys Office in Phoenix, Arizona, Rachel is a former Assistant Attorney General for the State of Arizona, where she practiced Commercial and Administrative Law and a former cyberlaw attorney for GoDaddy, a software corporation in Scottsdale, Arizona. She also does pro bono work referred to her by the Alliance Defense Fund, a religious constitutional rights organization in Scottsdale, Arizona. Rachel has appeared on Focus on the Family's radio program discussing constitutional issues. Rachel runs two discussion lists, scalia@topica.com, for conservatives and libertarians interested in the law, and women@topica.com, a fair and balanced women's discussion list. Because of Rachel's background in IT - three help desk and technical support jobs prior to becoming an attorney - Rachel also writes about computers and technology. However, Rachel's strength lies in her unique style of investigative writing - she has a knack for discovering new angles on issues and uncovering deception by the Left as a result of doing her own background work.
Rachel
has degrees in History and Political Science from the University
of Washington in Seattle, where she received academic honors her second
two years and was Co-President of the Political Science Honor Society, and received
a Juris Doctorate from the University
of Arizona College of Law in Tucson.
Rachel has also written articles for Enter Stage Right, Debate USA, Conservative Truth, Common Conservative, American Commentator, Conservative Thought, MichNews, Radical Academy, Rantweb, Repunk, Canadian Grassroots, and Rightgrrl.
