Columnist Mark AndersonUnited States Marine Corps SealMark Anderson was born in Minneapolis, on April 25, 1977. He grew up in Lakeville, MN from the age of four months until he graduated from high school. Mark graduated from Lakeville High School in June of 1995. Two days after graduating he left to United States Marine Corps boot camp.

Mark served four years in the Marine Corps, recieving a meritorious promotion to the rank of Lance Corporal, a Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Medal, and Sea Service Deployment Ribbon (twice awarded). His Military Occupational Specialty was Infantryman (0311). He was stationed at Camp Pendleton, California with 3rd Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment. He deployed to Okinawa in 1996 and 1998, making stops in South Korea, Singapore, Thailand and Iwo Jima. He was honorably discharged from active duty at the rank of Corporal in June of 1999. He is currently in the Individual Ready Reserves (Inactive Reserves).

He first became an activist in 1993, at the age of 16, as a volunteer on the Rod Grams 1994 U.S. Senate campaign. He served on a Presidential candidate's 2000 campaign Minnesota steering committee. He was elected as a national delegate in 2000 for a party that had major party status at the time.

Mark's education major is in economics. He has written several articles which have been carried by opinionet.com and american-partisan.com, just to name a few. He is currently writing a book, dealing with our monetary system.

Mark is legally ordained as independent clergy and employed in the cable industry. ***
