Julia Smith is a 1980 graduate of the University of South Carolina, where she majored in Business Economics.

After working in South Carolina, New York City and Orlando for several years, she retired to become a wife and mother. A few years ago, she began to pursue one of her first loves: photography. After a year of training, she entered 5 of her works in the ADDY awards for advertisers and graphic artists. She was awarded 4 silvers and 1 gold. Since then she continues to pursue her training while raising her son and managing a home business.

She once said, "I've been a conservative all my life! You can't honestly master "business" economics and be anything else -- you know too much!!"

She once taught a seminar on stock investments and economics to a group of older children at her son's school. During the next semester, some of those children entered and won CNBC's stock market contest!

Julia hopes to capture moments that visually portray this incredible country.
