Timothy Loughner
Columnist, Founder, First Editor-in-Chief and Publisher

Tim Loughner is the founder of the American Partisan and former Editor-in-Chief and Publisher. Tim held the reigns of TAP for two years before deciding to better serve the magazine by stepping down and taking on his former writing role. Previously he was the Editor-in-Chief for Right Magazine and Chairman of the Platform Commitee for the Libertarian Party of Washington State.

A Libertarian by trade, a Republican by vote, and a Green by ideals, Tim is a political stew of ideas. Quick to state his disgust with government, his conservative nature tends to throw his ballot to the GOP. While being a staunch environmentalist and conservationalist, Tim will gladly choose to protect forested lands, but thinks chaining himself to a tree is just plain stupid. All in all, Tim is a wishy-washy fence sitter who doesn't take on any sort of ideolgy of a particular party. His logic: every good boy deserves fudge. Well, we just hope he doesn't try to pass a law for that one.

Tim would like to consider himself a "meat and potatoes" guy, but being vegetarian kind of gets in the way. He has an insatiable love for coffee both drip and gormet although that doesn't help his writing ability.

Currently Tim is a freelance writer who has been published in numerous papers and other periodicals throughout the Pacific Northwest. He also works in sales for Verizon Wireless. He lives in Puyallup, Washington with his wife and 1 year old son. ***
