Regionalism: Achieving the NWO
by the Back Door
by Antonia Feitz
In the face of growing worldwide protests
against globalisation, national governments are now pushing
for what they think is a more politically acceptable alternative
- regionalisation under the guise of free trade zones.
There's NAFTA, planned to embrace the
entire Americas. For Europeans there's the EU, also expanding.
And for Asians there's ASEAN (Association of South East
Asian Nations) which is also planning to expand into ASEAN
+ 3 to include China, Japan, Korea. Very Orwellian.
But these free trade zones are a misnomer.
They aren't primarily about trade at all, but political
union via the back door. You only have to look at Britain's
experience. When Britain joined the Common Market in 1973,
the British people were deceitfully told the Common Market
was just about trade. On the 25th of February 1970 the
then Prime Minister, Edward Heath, declared the Common
Market wasn't a blueprint for a federated Europe. Twenty
one years later on BBC TV he admitted he knew he was taking
Britain into a United States of Europe.
[Joke: How do you know when a politician
is lying? His lips move.]
Now, almost thirty years later the British
people are horrified that Brussels' EU law takes precedence
over their ancient domestic law. They're outraged that
a greengrocer was prosecuted for the 'crime' of displaying
the prices for his fruit & veggies per pound, not per
kilo. They're dismayed that their parliament is fast becoming
just a clearing house for rubber-stamping EU-created policies,
rules and regulations.
Before too long, the once sovereign United
Kingdom will be no more. It will comprise just 12 out
of the over 100 proposed 'administrative regions' of Europe
to be governed from Brussels.
This isn't sci-fi, folks, it's already
started. The establishment of the three regional assemblies
for Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland had very little
to do with satisfying demands for Celtic autonomy. Sadly,
those nationalists played the role of 'useful idiots'
for the globalists. Nine more such regional assemblies
are planned for the UK. It's all being deceitfully done
under the guise of decentralising power.
But once they're up and running, the
UK's 12 regional assemblies will play no part in the EU's
legislative process. They will simply decide how to spend
their EU-allocated budgets in limited areas like health
and education. Their only political voice will be through
the EU's Council of the Regions - whose recommendations
are not binding.
Britain's traditional freedoms are being
swept away like rubbish down a gutter after a downpour.
According to the Magna Carta no parliament can bind another
one, but EU treaties are irrevocably binding. Yes, under
the EU principle of 'acquis communautaire', once any legislation
originating in the EU has passed into an individual nation's
law it can't be revoked, even by a new government.
Unless they suddenly wake up the British
can kiss freedom goodbye because the EU's leaders have
only contempt for it. For example, an analyst in the Brussels
bureaucracy called Bernard Connolly was punished for criticizing
the EU. They sacked (fired) him.
The Advocate-General of the European
Court of Justice absurdly said that any criticism of the
EU, its institutions, or its chief bureaucrats was akin
to blasphemy. True. He also said that punishing critics
of the EU was not an infringement of their free speech.
Obviously a lack of logic is a prime
qualification for high office in the EU. But criticizing
the EU and its policies is not only 'blasphemy', it will
eventually be unlawful under Article 51 of the proposed
EU Charter of Fundamental Rights.
Clearly the totalitarian turkeys of the
EU have no concept of freedom as the English-speaking
peoples of the world understand it. They have no understanding
that our rights are grounded in our God-given human nature.
Governments can only protect our rights;
they can't grant them. The ultimate source of authority
and power is the people themselves, not courts or governments.
It will be almost impossible to opt out
of the EU. Under proposed changes to Article 7 of the
Amsterdam Treaty, the European Commission will punish
any country that elects a government which two-thirds
of EU member countries consider a threat to "European
values and principles".
Read it again: if Britain - or any other
country - democratically elects a nationalist government
committed to opting out of the EU it will be "punished".
The year 2001 is crunch time for freedom
in Europe and Britain. Leading up to the Nice summit scheduled
for the 6th of December, there has been a series of Inter-Governmental
Conferences where socialist control-freaks have been drafting
proposals which will kill off national sovereignty for
good. The European Commission has already published a
draft treaty with more than 180 articles. What do they
want?
1. The integration of the military forces
under Brussels command.
2. A new criminal code for the EU. Although
the proposed powers are limited to fraud against the EU
budget, nobody disputes that this is just step one.
3. An EU Constitution. They call it a
Charter of Fundamental Rights and Freedoms, but there's
no need for it as such rights are already guaranteed by
a plethora of institutions. Their deceitful game is to
get their Charter into the Nice Treaty, get it recognised
by the ever-obliging European Court of Justice, and voila!
- a European Constitution.
4. Full political union. They want to
transform the European Commission into the European Government.
These guys mean business: Article 6 of
the draft treaty provides for trans-national, pan-European
political parties. Such parties must respect fundamental
rights "as defined in the Treaty of Rome". Parties which
don't measure up will be suspended by the European Court
of Justice.
Clearly these proposals will be the death
knell not only for sovereignty but for freedom itself.
This is how Communist parties stay in power. Daniel Hannan,
a member of the European Parliament, noted that the communists
didn't ban elections - they had elections all the time
to prove how 'democratic' they were! The communists just
banned parties they deemed extremist or fascist.
Australian politicians and elites are
beside themselves because the Asians don't want us white
trash in their free trade zone. "Boo hoo", they cry, "we've
been left out in the cold." Ordinary people say, "Yippeeeee!"
