Now that we’ve seen the Bin-Laden videotape, there is no further doubt that
we are dealing with a homicidal, deluded maniac. Calmly sipping tea, the oddly
effeminate Bin-Laden smiles and chuckles as he savors the deaths of innocent
Americans. He tells us how “overjoyed” he was when the damage was greater than
he had predicted it would be. Bin-Laden nods with quasi-modesty, as his henchmen
excitedly praise him for his vision and foresight. He praises Allah and says
that the “victory” is one that benefits Islam.
The Islamic scholars are in a fluster. While they’ve been self-righteously warning us against committing virtually non-existent “hate crimes” against Muslims, it turns out that the actual hate crimes have been perpetrated on us. By a devout Muslim who uses his faith to justify atrocities.
For the last three months we have heard various experts and apologists verify that Islam is a peaceful religion that forbids suicide and abhors the murder of innocents. In reality, we have vast and irrefutable evidence to the contrary. At the very least, Islam is being used, with varying degrees of success, to terrorize and tyrannize huge populations all around the world. Atrocities, such as the murder of over 2 million Christians and animists in the Sudan, occur on a regular basis. Where the fanatics have prevailed, vicious theocracies are set up, with forced conversion to Islam. Bibles are banned, and churches and dissenting books are burned. Resistance is brutally crushed.
It is impossible to imagine a modern world where religious leaders of any other faith could call upon their devotees to murder others in the name of their religion - and get away with it. Yet, in Islam, it appears to occur regularly. The madrassah schools are little more than training camps for junior terrorists, where youths are taught the finer points of martyring themselves for the cause. Relatives of terrorists killed in attacks are shown, incongruously, celebrating on live TV. And, in all Islamic societies, it appears that a vicious anti-Western, anti-Semitism rhetoric is preached relentlessly.

Islamism
appears to be an eerily reborn, 21st Century form of fascism, with Osama (right)
recast as a modern Hitler. Osama’s legion of followers even resemble those earlier
fanatical murderous goons, the Waffen SS. Like Hitler, the Islamo-fascists seek
to return to an earlier, idealized, “purer” form of their culture. Also like
Hitler, the Islamo-fascists are not above using modern technology in order to
foist these events upon the rest of the unwilling world. World domination, this
time around, is based on religion.
So-called “moderate” Muslim states have been noticeably timed in their condemnation of the radical Islamists. There is no excuse for terrorism. No injustice, no imagined wrongdoing, no past grievance can excuse acts of murder and mayhem deliberately committed upon innocent civilians. Yet, even after the Bin-Laden tape aired, Arab “Man In The Street” interviews showed that some Muslims believe it is a fake. Some even still believe that “The Jews” brought down the Twin Towers.
Osama Bin-Laden has been trying to incite a 13th Century religious war between the Muslim states and the West. So, Islam itself is at a crossroads, as the Western democracies are surely not going to become medieval tyrannies without a fight. Will Islam throw in it’s lot with the terrorists? Or will moderate Muslims who yearn for freedom and prosperity wrest control of Islam back from the radical fringe and finally bring the Arab world into the 21st Century?
Osama’s in his bunker now, awaiting the answer. ***
