One of Osama Bin Laden’s stated goals was to have the Muslim world unite, and
rise up against the West. OBL may now be a stiffening corpse in an Afghani cave,
but everyday it looks more as though his fondest dream may become our harsh
reality.

Saddam
Hussein (right) recently stepped up the “martyr” fees he pays out to the families
of suicide murderers - the relatively meager $10,000 has now grown to the more
princely sum of $25,000, which, when augmented by the $5,000 donated by the
Saudi government, can create quite a comfortable living for the families and
provide perhaps some motivational zeal to the killers.
Iraqi Defense Minister General Sultan Hasim Ahmad, on Saturday, said that the Iraqi Army will be “cutting swords” for the “liberation of our territories in Palestine, including Jerusalem, usurped by the Zionists”. Ahmad continued, pledging that the Army would be, “continuing its training and its mission in facing up to the forces of evil and oppression, represented by criminal America and its odious Zionist ally.”
Sudan’s government has recently announced that they will be opening military camps for the training of “volunteers” who will be sent to “liberate” Jerusalem. And the Arab League, which considers the suicide murderers “heroic martyrs”, have called the unprovoked attacks targeted at civilians “legitimate resistance” to supposed Israeli “occupation”.
The New York Times, in an article published 3 April 2002 by Joel Brinkley, cited terrorist leaders Ismail Abu Shanab and Mahmoud Al-Zahar as being pleased with the recent actions of suicide-murderers, especially the ones who detonated the bombs at the Passover Seder, which killed 25 unarmed, innocent - and mostly elderly - civilians. Al Zahar stated, with satisfaction, “40 were killed and 200 injured, in just two operations!” He then attributed this to the new, higher-tech explosives that the jihadists were using.
Islamist Dr. Rantisi, was quoted as saying, “the suicide bombers”….”are the most effective strategy for us.”…”For us, they are like F-16’s”. All three terrorist leaders were quoted as being confident of their ultimate goal, the eradication of Israel from “Arab” lands entirely.

Most
alarmingly, Friday and Saturday of this week saw left-wing, Commie backed, pro-Palestinian
demonstrations in various far-flung corners of the world, including numerous
towns in France, Germany and Switzerland, as well as cities in Australia and
even in we-should-now-know-better New York. These demonstrations included charming
displays; some equating the Star of David with a swastika; other banners calling
Israel’s Sharon (left) and America’s Bush (right) “murderers” and “Nazis“; and
numerous signs advocating the extinction of the Jews altogether.
The vapidity of the Left is always intriguing, but never more so than now. We have not seen Israelis strapping bombs onto their youths and sending them into cafes’ and mosques with the express intent of killing innocent civilians. The IDF has not made incursions into Palestinian territory, except in response to suicide-murders. Indeed, Israel, which has abided by its side of the Oslo Accords; has given up territory, recognized the PLO, and provided for an armed Palestinian peace. Their reward? A generation, raised on virulent and racist hatred, whose sole reason for existence is to “Kill Jews.”
The youthful suicide murderers of today commit the actions of those who have been indoctrinated from birth onwards. At ages 5 and 6 they are given fake guns and taught to point them at boys and men who wear yarmulkes, and at women without shrouds. They are taken to the Wailing Wall, where they drop rocks on the heads of praying Israelis. At age 7 they are taught to throw grenades or rocks and taught how to taunt Israeli soldiers. At 8, they are given “pretend” jihadist headbands, and shown how to strap the “Youth Size L” waistband bomb detonators around their middles. While our boys are playing baseball, theirs are playing Jihad Against the Infidel. Yasser Arafat has done this deliberately.
Over the last nine years, while he was in charge of all Palestinian media, education, and the police force, Yasser Arafat has systematically and deliberately destroyed the very future of his own people.
A video exists, of a Palestinian mother who is happily and eagerly sending her 18 year old son out to die - heartbreakingly young, and completely needlessly. Furthermore, she knows, and even celebrates the fact that he will die while killing innocent and unarmed civilians. The cancer of Palestinian hatred runs this deep; so deep that it overwhelms not only the usual maternal instincts, but also the usual recognition between what is good and what is evil.
There are many others, unfortunately, who appear to share this lack of moral clarity. Most are in the Arab dictatorships, some are marching around the world with anti-American and anti-Semitic signs. Both aim for the ultimate destruction, not only of Israel, but of the entire civilized West. The West needs to take this threat most seriously.
Terrorism must be defeated, and it must be defeated decisively. Israel has a right to exist on the lands that Jews have inhabited for centuries, and Israelis have a right to live their daily lives in freedom from fear. It is now up to the more moderate Palestinians to decide - to step forward and reclaim their country and its future from the evil, unreasoning hatred which engulfs them all and which threatens to undermine their very existence. ***
