mind a terrible thing?

In
a Washington Post article that ran June 24th on MSNBC's website,
Michael A. Fletcher reports in "Degrees of Separation" that male college enrollment
is horrifically down. Of course, college officials are deeply concerned as to
why this is happening.
"As Morgan State University President Earl S. Richardson surveyed the sea of newly minted graduates at the school's 126th commencement last month, his joy was tempered by a question that has grown too conspicuous to ignore: Where are all the men?" writes Fletcher. He continues: "Not only were the head of student government, the senior class president and 96 of Morgan's 141 honorstudents [sic] women, but so were two-thirds of the university's 860 graduates."
Augmenting this observation at Morgan State, Fletcher's report offers that amongst Caucasians, females now account for 57% of the bachelor's degrees; female compared to male Hispanic graduates number 60%, and among blacks, females register 67%.
The article stresses that business leaders and scholars are increasingly concerned about the lopsided graduation rates and their eventual effect. Fletcher quotes Christina Hoff Sommers of the American Enterprise Institute, who authored "The War Against Boys." Sommers offers: " 'This is new. We have thrown the gender switch. What does it mean in the long run that we have females who are significantly more educated than their male counterparts? It is likely to create a lot of social problems. This does not bode well for anyone.'"
Some learned administrators and towering intellectuals of academia have indicated that the urgency of the matter is beginning to smack of a crisis such that extensive studies be initiated inquiring as to the causative factors of this imbalance. And perhaps research funding from the federal government is in order to look into the crisis so that the wizards of progressive, liberal, left-wing academia can investigate this rapidly deteriorating condition in hopes of a solution.
"After years of being shrugged off, the disparity is prompting increased action around the country. Earlier this month, researchers from Harvard University, the University of Michigan and the United Negro College Fund agreed to study the issue," writes Fletcher. And of course we are subjected to the stereotypical female radical regurgitation that females are far superior intellectually to men, and the latest statistical anomaly bears this out.
Resorting to the basic common sense of the man on the street is never even remotely considered, especially when academia's political preferences favor the socialist redistribution of wealth from the evil rich and working classes by government force in order to channel funding to where it is really needed - in the pockets of incompetent, unmotivated school and higher learning administrators and professors to support their aristocratic lifestyles. I see some government grants in the making, the double whammy from "America's" education nobility.
Might the left-wing agenda disestablishing the American family and "facing down" the individual by our homegrown socialists and communists have anything to do with this? Might the fact that Heather has two Mommies and little Johnny has two Daddies have anything to do with this? Does "American" lawyering and female radicalism encouraging and promoting divorce have any relevance here? And what about our radical, left-wing, totally out-of-control government? Any blame to be redistributed here? You betcha!
Imagine my horror on the day I needed to go through a purchase requisition folder in my former capacity as an accountant with IBM. I actually came upon a quota examination and questionnaire that some poor unfortunate had to fill out under government initiated terror and corporate-compliant enforcement. It wanted to know how many blacks were employed by the company, how many had been hired in the last year, the last five years, and so on. How many blacks, Hispanics, and females were in supervisory or management positions? It was an Affirmative Action Quota Data Sheet, enforced by the guns, badges and bayonets of out-of-control socialist/fascist government: ours!
If a company doesn't meet the female quota requirements, lucrative government contracts are lost. Discrimination against American males by government, government schools and the left-wing media eventually finds it way into the male psyche. American male youth loses interest in competition. And recently, another college crisis was identified as the disappearing number of male collegiate sports programs. And oh yeah, there'll be none of this "Bang-bang your dead" boyish aggression either!
Female radicals are abolishing American maleness. The geniuses at left-wing colleges are just beginning to discover that their divide and conquer mentality is costing them half of their potential enrollment. Ain't the academic mind a terrible thing? ***
