A Marxist Media Benchmark

It is the responsibility of the American press to inform and bring up to speed
the American people. We know that the majority of Americans get their news from
TV, and that the TV networks that produce syndicated nightly news programs across
the country are controlled by media moguls and big media corporations in Hollywood,
USA.
And we know further that those media moguls, media corporations, and their hired entertainers billed as "journalists," namely Dan Rather, Peter Jennings, and Tom Brokaw, have a personal political bias, which aligns perfectly with that of their corporations and their bosses. We are also aware of the "leftist" bias of those multi-millionaire entertainers in Hollywood, more appropriately identifiable as "Follywood," who also have this "leftist" or "liberal" bias. Their weapon of choice is words.
Last Monday, October 7, 2002, President George W. Bush addressed the American people concerning the situation in Iraq. Those who read my column know I am no great fan of the president. He enacted a serious infringement on our First Amendment protections thereby empowering the very same media that just blacked him out via McCain's campaign finance fraud; he failed to support California conservative Bill Simon and New Jersey conservative Bret Schundler; he railroaded the Bill of Rights-destroying Patriot Act through Congress, the latter not even bothering to read it; and he failed to prosecute master criminals Bill Clinton and Janet Reno. But, all of this, as well as Follywood and network TV's hatred for him, will never justify the disgrace that this information and communications conglomerate is now guilty of.
As I have just stated, I am no fan of George Bush. But the unmitigated gall, temerity and despicable anti-American bias and arrogance of the mainstream, establishment, left-wing media on Monday evening, leaves at least in my mind, no remaining doubt of their Marxist, Communist leanings.
Criminal political regimes have always relied upon communication/information purveyors in their domain and under their control to suppress truth, hide facts, and manipulate what is reported under the guise of journalism. It is called "propaganda." It has absolutely no place in a free society, whether in a freedom-protecting democracy, or our self-governing republic. Propaganda is not only the suppression of truth and fact or its manipulation or their selective revelation; it is also the selective blackout of events with the intent of silencing opposition. That is what happened on October 7th.
The President of the United States was silenced by our Marxist media - the president! Even Marxist New World Order socialist and Bill Clinton buddy Walter Cronkite chided Dan Rather after he got downright nasty on national television with then-Vice President George H. W. Bush, the President's father, saying to Rather that Bush, Sr. was "after all, the Vice President of the United States!" And of course, media darling Bill Clinton was most instrumental in destroying the majesty and esteem of this once venerable office.
But say what you will, and think what you will, our nation is at war. It may be a "pocket" war, or a very "light" war, or a very transparent and undeclared war, but our soldiers are fighting and dying! And President Bush has been to the UN, the Congress, and was trying to address the American people. To his credit, he did not make this a national emergency issue in front of the Congress assembled such that the media Rather/Jennings/Brokaw conglomerate was required to air it. But this event should have taken precedence over the standard canned media tripe.
This clearly establishes both the media and the Democrats' opposition to military action in Iraq. It has nothing to do with what might be required for national security, and everything to do with Democrats' angst concerning the coming November elections. They are opposing the war to negate Bush's popularity. That is why allowing the president to address the people is so "risky." Can homegrown tyranny be far behind? ***
