Displaced Democrats

Rush Limbaugh offers that Democrats are self-destructing as they scamper to
posture themselves after their resounding electoral thrashing via the Bush Revolution
last week. Dick Gephardt has stepped down as House Minority Leader, and Tom
Daschle will lose his barely discernible bluster as Republicans and George Bush's
chief political obstructionist. And you know Democrats have gone south when
one Democrat, Tennessee Congressman Harold Ford, Jr., calls another "too liberal,"
describing Left Coast Lefty, Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), as they spar over Gephardt's
vacated position.
The Republican midterm landslide has indeed displaced the Democratic Party, but it wasn't Republicans that displaced them - they did that to themselves. What really constitutes their displacement is the fact that they have progressed [intended] to where their philosophy no longer even remotely resembles the political environment desired by a majority of the American people.
Democrats have energized themselves only to demonize their Republican opposition as being evil, mean-spirited, and prone to right-wing extremist Nazism. Their hatred for Republicans, their accentuation of negatives, and their cheap, low class attacks and general behavior are part of their current philosophy - and it is this adopted philosophy which constitutes the domestic aspect of the Bill Clinton legacy. The terrorist-induced carnage of 9-11 was Clinton's foreign policy and preventive intelligence legacy. To survive, as well as to provide meaningful and constructive input to American politics, Democrats need to distance themselves quickly from Clinton.
But putting substantial distance between themselves and Clinton is easier said then done. Liberalism should be considered as a growing, deadly cancer to America and the freedom of the American people. And just like cancer, it starts small and then begins to spread. Liberalism is an infestation. It started small in the once great Democratic Party of JFK and Hubert Humphrey, but now more closely resembles the vicious low class manipulations of the unwashed masses and street rabble for purposes of concentrating power in the Party redolent of communist activism.
The "dirty tricks," campaign finance motivated treason, the sellout to communism in terms of weapons to the Communist Chinese military, the coziness with Cuban Dictator Fidel Castro, the Wellstone debacle, and the New Jersey Supreme Court crime wave, have all served to erode the Party's "little guy" stature in the eyes of American voters. What is needed is a return to decency.
And liberalism's socialist, communist leanings were even more frighteningly brought home when international socialists of the Nobel Prize committee bestowed upon Jimmy Carter their coveted "peace" prize, clearly signifying his achievements for his efforts precluding North Korea from developing nuclear military capability and delivering the "spoils of war" in the form of the Panama Canal to the Communist Chinese Military without a shot ever having been fired.
Needless to say, this bunch of Scandinavian socialists, while rewarding Carter for turning over American assets to the Communists without a shot being fired, have no intention whatsoever of recognizing Ronald Reagan in a similar vein for having disassembled the dangerous Communist Soviet Union and ending the Cold War, also without a shot ever being fired.
As yet another Hollywood dimbulb, namely banana boat babbler Harry Belafonte denigrates Secretary of State Colin Powell as a "house slave," perhaps this highly, nasty black tarantula can point to similar African-American appointments such as Powell and Condoleezza Rice made by his former first "black" president. Even renowned communist sympathizer and former Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney observed that blacks have been taken for granted by Democrats and summarily ignored.
And the need for Democrats to keep blacks in their place by using the race card and ensuring subservience through dependency is also beginning to wear thin with African-Americans, as it is increasingly apparent by the Party's partnership with the National Education Association assessing their efforts to preclude black parents from school choice. And now, Democrats have the ability to get back on track with African-American Harold Ford, and yet they're going with Marxist Nancy Pelosi. ***
