The End To Infanticide

A few days ago, the U.S. Senate voted 64-33 to ban the barbaric practice of
partial-birth abortion. The measure will now go to the House where it will be
passed, then bravely signed by President Bush. Congress has already passed this
bill twice, only to have it vetoed by Bill Clinton. What do you expect from
a man who has no conscience?
Finally, we see an end to this horrible crime against living babies. The 'procedure' is carried out using forceps to grip the baby's feet and legs. After the legs and torso are outside, the abortionist then crushes the (living) baby's skull, so that the body may be discarded. Does this sound as if a medical procedure is being preformed... or instead, a murder?
The usual leftist radicals came out against this ban. Sens. Diane Feinstein and Barbara Boxer (both D-CA) both voted against this measure. Feinstein claimed the description of the 'procedure' (partial-birth abortion) in the bill was too vague and "could be construed to impact virtually any abortion". God, let us hope so!
Sen. Rick Santorum (R-PA) is the chief sponsor of this measure and I believe is deserving of a medal for his tenacity and perseverance in seeing this bill through to the end. Conversely, in true cowardly political fashion, Sen. John Kerry (D-MA) and Sen. John Edwards (D-NC) were conveniently absent for this historic vote. They both decided to shirk their legislative responsibilities and give their consciences the day off in light of their upcoming presidential campaigns. After all, a true politician never wants to let his real feelings about an issue known to the public!
The leftist, anti-family abortion lovers have been sent a very clear message: No more! They know their baby-killing days are numbered. Kate Michelman (President of NARAL Pro-Choice of America) said after the vote "the passage of this legislation demonstrates how devastating the elections of 2002 were in giving control of the Senate to anti-choice leadership". These are the same people who protest the impending war with Iraq because they claim that innocent children will be harmed. However, they seem to have no problem with killing American babies.
In a recent USA Today/CNN?Gallup poll, 70% of Americans favored banning partial birth abortion (or late term abortion). The left is so steamed because this ban is simply the will of the people being heard loudly and clearly by those in Washington. The leftists just don't get it; the United States is an overwhelmingly conservative country and we have proved that by delivering the U.S. House, Senate, the White House, as well as most of the governor's mansions to the Republicans! Thank God we live in a country where the majority of it's citizens finds crushing a baby's skull because his or her life is 'inconvenient' to be unacceptable.
Decent people have become more aware of this practice of infanticide and have let their legislators know they want it stopped. Fortunately, we now have a man of conscience in the White House who is willing to do that which is necessary to protect the rights of children, rather than just shed a few crocodile tears for the cameras and claim to feel our pain.
The abortionists (doctors) who have performed this procedure will one day meet
up once again with the souls of the babies they murdered. I wonder how they
will feel then? I wonder how they will answer for their crimes? ***
