Queer High

In a few weeks the new Harvey Milk High School will open its doors to homosexual
New York City teenagers. The first time I heard about 'Queer High,' I believed
it to be a joke! I would like to pose a question to all of you: Could you have
ever imagined an all-gay public high school?
The founders of 'Queer High' claim it to be necessary to protect gay teenagers
from bullying. Who amongst us has never been subjected to the cowardly abuse
delivered by some self-loathing bully? There are many different groups of children
who are often the target of relentless insults and even physical abuse: fat
kids, kids with glasses, kids with big noses, etc. Should we create separate
public schools for each much maligned group of students?
This segregated high school is costing the New York taxpayers is 3.2 million
dollars. The public should not be forced to fund an all-gay school. If the indulgent
parents of these misguided children wish to encourage deviant behavior in their
children, then let them all start a private school for gay kids and those who
think they are gay. How do you determine if a 13 or 14 year old child is gay?
There are four different restrooms at Harvey Milk High. One each for gay, lesbian,
bi-sexual, and 'trans-gender' students. In my humble opinion, I would suggest
that a 'trans-gender' 14 year old child needs intensive therapy and guidance
rather than further encouragement into a life of perversion and confusion. Indulging
a child in a deviant lifestyle is child abuse.
The left claims to be firmly against segregation, yet when given the opportunity
to separate themselves from the rest of society not only jump at the chance
but use public funds to do it. Segregation and exclusion are apparently just
fine, as long as they are being committed by the left. ***
