In several fell swoops, he has singlehandedly won a majority in both the Senate and the House; fatally emasculated the U.N. and shrewdly proven the ineffectiveness of international treaties such as NATO. Now that the coalition forces are winning a decisive victory in liberating Iraq, the international Left is really in a tizzy, and they are taking to the streets with cartons of curdled milk in order to “puke for peace”. Really.

The Left, for decades, has had to exist with a completely irrational and dissonant mindset. In the 1930’s, it could still pretend that Stalin’s Russia was superior to the United States because it had “education” and “health care” for all of its citizens. After WWII, when Stalin’s atrocities became known and - later - admitted to by Nikita Kruschev, the Leftist fantasy of the perfect socialist paradise required a bit more intellectual dishonesty.

Today, the dedicated Leftist lives in a world where fantasy has turned into full blown dementia. The dark and fetid recesses of their minds harbor a tangled maze of ludicrous conspiracies and dire fears. In this twisted universe, the terrorists who took down the WTC are really poor and downtrodden fearless freedom fighters, striking a blow against the hated capitalist hegemon. The inconvenient facts - that Usama Bin Laden comes from one of the wealthiest families on Earth and that the 9/11 terrorists were all likewise wealthy and educated - are simply ignored.

The deluded Leftists inhabit a world of alternative reality. Saddam Hussein, Fidel Castro, Robert Mugabe and Yasser Arafat are all murderous dictators in charge of oppressive dictatorships, the populace beneath them trampled by the tyrant’s boot. In radical Wahabbist Islam, women are not only second class citizens, they are virtual slaves. Open homosexuals have walls toppled on them. These absolutist governments brook no dissent, and any “protesters” which showed up there would be subject to horrific torture or instant death.

Yet, these are the governments which the “anti-war” protesters are aligning themselves with. When they espouse that the United States is in Iraq to steal its oil, they are even parroting the exact verbiage of Saddam Hussein himself.

The Left has aligned itself with the very dregs of humanity, people who actually actively practice all the things the Left is supposed to despise - for one reason only. Their great, incoherent and fiery hatred of the United States and Israel - as two religious countries which represent traditional Western ideals.

Ironically, America and Israel are two countries where tolerance, diversity and free expression are found in the greatest quantities. Yet, the Left - in their hallucinatory world - see the U.S. and Israel as repressive, and Saddam et.al. as leading models of democratic government.

Now, fueled by impatience over their utter failure to impact the war, they have decided to ramp it up. The anarchist “Black Bloc”, which wreaks destruction and havoc during anti-globalization, anti-world trade demonstrations, plans similar disruptions to protest the war in Iraq. David Horowitz has warned about the real intentions of these groups, which are Marxist, Communist, socialist and anti-capitalist at heart. Their intention is to destroy America, for when she stands proudly and succeeds, she drives a stake into the lie which is socialism. Their utter inchoate rage at their failure drives them, literally, into the arms of insanity.

Thus, the “peace” protesters at large, and even homegrown leftists like Tom Daschle and Jimmy Carter make incoherent speeches and align themselves with murderous dictators. Video footage of exuberant Iraqis, celebrating their newfound liberation, will no doubt drive them even deeper into madness. Their blind hatred for Republicans, conservatives and George W. Bush, leads them into waltzing with disgraced ideologues who brutally oppress their own citizens and any others who may oppose them. They have become what they purport to abhor. The irony, the rank hypocrisy, the quickly accelerating disintegration - is beautiful to behold. ***
