In Memory of The Fallen 9-11-2001BENEDICT ARNETT

Timothy Rollins - Beneath the SurfaceTim looks at Peter Arnett's firing from NBC and the treasonous actions that led to it. WARNING: Contains strong language. May offend some, and is not suitable for all readers.

If this were an April Fool's joke of some sort, this would be funny; unfortunately it isn't. It's cruel, irresponsible as hell and downright dangerous. 'Benedict Peter' (Arnett) is at it again - going on yet another anti-American kick; only this time, he may have placed the lives of American and other coalition forces in danger by his 'guest appearance' on the puppet-run Iraqi state television. The fact is that the Iraqis knew of this idiot's propensity for distorting the truth to suit his anti-American bent, and NBC were a bunch of damn fools to hire this stooge in the first place for reasons that I, along with the rest of America will never know.

You would have thought that NBC would have learned a lesson from the mistakes of CNN, who canned this bozo after his fabrications on the Operation Tailwind series he did some years back that caused a number of CNN personnel to quit in protest, including some of their top military analysts. But no, in an effort to boost sagging ratings at their third-rate cable news network (MSNBC), they brought him on board for another chance to which he was not entitled - not after blowing it during Desert Storm and especially after screwing the pooch on the Operation Tailwind hatchet job he did in the late 1990's.

NBC may have fired this loser and all-out traitor on Monday March 31st, but the damage had already been done, and Arnett's contrition only lasted long enough for the left-leaning Mirror of London to hire him a few hours later and keep him in place so he could continue to whore himself and in fact, continue to engage in committing treason of the highest (or lowest) order.

By showering praise on Iraq's 'generosity and accommodation' in 'helping him out' over the years, Arnett's antics with the Iraqis may be considered sympathetic only by the most liberal leftists; what Arnett was in fact doing was way beyond apple polishing or even brown-nosing; he was suffering from a case of self-inflicted cranial-rectal impaction - if you catch my drift; kind of reminiscent of the sycophantic White House press corps during the Clinton years. It was more than enough to make you puke and puke violently at that.

It is quite clear here that Arnett is trying to revive a dying career here in much the same way doctors use CPR paddles to bring back a patient whose heart has stopped beating. However, after so many hits of the paddles, even the best doctor will pull the sheet over the patient and call it a night. With Arnett's case, perhaps the humane thing for his career would be not to use the 'paddles' as it were, but rather, to strap it in the chair, plug it in, throw the switch and pass the popcorn, if you get the idea.

As a rule of law however, our remedies are somewhat limited. Because this is not a formally declared state of war the way World War II was, and although we are a nation in combat, we need to remember there is a difference and a huge one at that. Had President Bush followed the Constitution of the United States and had Congress, most of whom are wimps and pantywaists who have never seen a day in uniform - much less combat; were they to have actually followed the Constitution for once in their lives - specifically Article 1, Section 8, that specifically confers authority upon the Congress to declare war, they could act courageously in this manner by issuing a formal declaration of war.

This would ensure the hands of the military are completely untied and Arnett (and others of his stripe) could have been charged with treason as well as lending aid and comfort to the enemy, been tried by military tribunal in the field and justifiably executed on conviction for the treasonous scum he is, was and will seemingly always be. Once dead, Arnett could be cremated instead of buried and his ashes promptly flushed down the toilet. Such action would be a fitting end for an individual whose life has manifestly benefited no one other than himself.

I can't think of anyone beyond some leftist elitists who would miss him - and we can always do without them, as they tend to keep to themselves anyway because they think they're 'better than us.' Do you honestly think you would miss him? No? Didn't think so.

Then again, neither would I, come to think of it. ***
