Destroy Their Will!

Dave Gibson The recent Shiite and Sunni attacks on U.S.-led Coalition forces have made one thing very clear...We have not yet broken their will to fight. To date, we have not used the kind of devastating force necessary to bring Iraq under control and help to put in place a freely elected government.

Mutqtada Al-Sadr's Al-Mahadi militia enjoyed full control last week, in the cities of Kut, Kufa, and Najaf. His forces overwhelmed the Iraqi police, who then abandoned their stations. Those police stations have reportedly been re-occupied today, after Al-Sadr ordered his militia forces to withdraw. However, he now knows that his militia can be effective and will certainly continue this fight.

These are not military men, they are nothing more than bloodthirsty thugs and deserve to be treated accordingly. The Islamic cowards take shelter in Mosques (which have been considered off-limits by Coalition troops), in which they direct their forces to kill U.S. servicemen. Wiping these fascists in dirty nightshirts from the face of the planet will be a favor to us all.

We must look to the example set by the United States during World War II in order to deal with this current crisis facing our troops. Japan had proven to be a more than formidable enemy and with hundreds of thousands of American casualties already sustained--a US invasion of Japan would have been a bloodbath. General Curtis LeMay directed an air war over Japan, which helped destroy their will as well as their ability to fight. At war's end an assessment was made that our B-29's had destroyed 86% of Tokyo, 77% of Nagoya, and 99.5% of Toyama. We need to achieve much the same level of destruction in the so-called Sunni Triangle.

We are facing a determined enemy on two fronts. We are now being told that multitudes of Arab terrorists are streaming into Iraq to join the fight with the Iraqis. They hope not only to kill American troops, but to turn America against the war. The Islamic terrorists monitor U.S. media sources and they have no doubt, been emboldened recently by the words of Sen. Ted Kennedy (D-MA), as well as many other liberal subversives.

If we are to win this war and achieve a truly lasting peace--we must implement a policy of 'total war'! We must level the Sunni Triangle, we must destroy the cities which are strong-holds for the Shiite terrorist monsters. We have to do to those cities that which was done to the cities of Tokyo and Dresden. Those places were almost entirely destroyed and 60 years later...Germany and Japan (which was considered a 'warrior nation'), seem now to have very little taste for war.

The Arab world is full of 'warrior nations' as well as tremendous hatred for the United States. Unfortunately, the only thing that most of them respect is overwhelming, terrible force. We cannot afford to accept anything less than complete victory,and we must do that which is necessary to win just such a victory...Election year or not! ***
