Democrats Desperately Playing Race Card!

Dave Gibson As the 2004 Presidential Election nears, those on the left are pulling out their old favorite--the race card. It would seem that they would have a difficult time persuading blacks to vote for a rich Boston blue-blood. However, all one has to do is put a 'D' behind their name and suddenly 13% of the population is willing to give them their vote.

There is currently an ad airing on black radio stations that claims "Bush tried to stop all blacks from attending college." The ad also casts doubts on President Bush's National Guard service. The announcer refers to Bush as a "white boy" who did not go to Vietnam.

After I heard that ad, I was disgusted by the lies and the hatred which it spewed. However, I realized something that the Democrats have apparently known for quite a while...the Black community is the one place where it is still socially acceptable to openly practice racism. While racist ads would never be allowed or would simply backfire with white listeners, they resonate with blacks.

The Democratic party continues to claim that thousands of black voters were turned away from the polls in the 2000 election. They continue to do this, though there is no proof. There has not been one documented case of voter discrimination. The race-baiters on the left however, will continue to incite the black community.

Around election time, the Democrats always cry discrimination in regards to the voting rights of convicted felons. In most states, anyone convicted of a felony can no longer vote. The Democrats would actually like to put voting booths inside prisons.

For decades, black churches have passed out voter guides to their parishioners. Black ministers have proudly stood beside Bill Clinton, Al Gore, and John Kerry. The amazing thing to me is that these Christian leaders are willing to overlook these liberal's pro-abortion stance. How can they put the promise of entitlement programs (i.e. free stuff) ahead of the lives of innocent children?

If a large portion of the black community would wake up to the fact that the welfare mentality this country has produced, has been more detrimental to blacks than to anyone else...the Democrats would never win another election! ***
