IN
DEFENSE OF TRUTH AND VIRTUE

Proposition
8's passage in California has brought out the complainers, whiners and malcontents
who won't take 'No' for an answer. As is typical of Liberals, they are again
asking the California Supremes to overturn the express will of the people for
a SECOND time. By doing this, a disgruntled minority again exposes themselves
as crybabies, because:
1. They want it their way or no way at all.
2. They refuse to take NO for an answer, not unlike petulant two-year-olds.
3. Their outrage over losing has instilled within them a 'scorched earth' policy
bent on going after those who told them NO in the first place.
4. A double standard clearly remains in play: While desiring tolerance for themselves
and an agenda both immoral and contrary-to-nature, they seek, through intimidation,
to silence the majority who refuse to accommodate and subsidize their deviant
practices; in much the same manner as the Taliban shamefully treats women.
Proposition 8's victory came in large measure because of a religious coalition composed of Catholics, Evangelical Christians, Jews, and members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, better known as the Mormons. Bigoted remarks against Catholics and Jews routinely bring about well-deserved condemnation. Neither they nor Evangelical Christians were targeted with such vicious attacks. Although Jews and Catholics each poured more money into the race, the Mormons were primarily singled out through protests at their temples and vandalism at their chapels. Despite alleged progress in overcoming bigotry, from increased tolerance for differing cultural views, to electing a bi-racial man as President of the United States, the truth again emerges that bigotry against Mormons remains as fashionable and as in vogue now as it did 178 years ago.
Since
Proposition 8's passage, major protests have been directed towards the Mormon
Church, most notably at its temples in Los Angeles, Oakland and San Diego. Peaceable
followers of Christ seeking only to worship, now find themselves accosted by
obscenities and beyond as they seek to enter grounds considered sacred by millions.
Organizing successful causes and campaigns is not just limited to Liberal causes.
Despite cries to the contrary, churches can speak out on moral issues; in fact,
they have an obligation to - and do so without legal reprisals - despite Leftist
assertions to the contrary. The religious constituency has as much of a right
to be heard as any other group. Again, we clearly see hypocrisy in motion here.
Say what you want regarding gay marriage; this isn't about Left or Right, or
Liberal against Conservative. It's about right and wrong, and good versus evil.
To suppose otherwise is sheer lunacy.
Despite this, Liberals still misuse the courts in doing their bidding. Why? Because Liberal ideas can't win on their own merits, and Liberals seek to manipulate the courts as a 'back door' through which they can legislate from the bench matters that voters have rejected, and usually more than once. Look no further than Proposition 8 as Exhibit #1. Clearly, people both in California and around the country need an attitude adjustment, and not just about Mormons and their right to freely worship. While their religious beliefs may differ somewhat from that of their Mormon friends, they should suck it up, grow up and agree to disagree without being disagreeable.
And yes, folks, it IS that simple! ***
