IN
DEFENSE OF TRUTH AND JUSTICE

With
the assassination of four uniformed police officers in Washington State November
29th, we again see another glaring example of the left hand not knowing what
the right hand is doing. In this sordid tale from Hell, we have a now-former
governor who was more interested in being a compassionate pastor than in being
a chief executive, a prison system handcuffed by their civilian masters, and
a jury being unceremoniously told where to get off by an elected official seeking
to score points with a voting bloc that was never in his corner to begin with.
Thankfully, a Seattle cop with the presence of mind to avoid becoming Dead Cop #5, gunned down the assailant and in the process, saved taxpayers upwards of 40,000,000 tax dollars that would have been squandered in pre-custody confinement costs, trial expenses, public funding of high-powered legal representation for a capital case, the appellate costs, 15-20 years or so of wasted tax dollars keeping this piece of vermin alive with free food, housing and other 100% taxpayer-paid benefits such as medical, dental, clothing, vision and other perks until he could be strapped to a gurney to receive an $86.08 potassium chloride cocktail as a parting gift.
This cop killer died in the manner befitting his crime. The cop who killed this two-legged human waste should not only receive departmental Medals of Valor from both the Seattle and Lakewood Police Departments, he also should be rewarded with a $1,000,000 cash tax-free reward bonus for being a friend of the taxpayer. In this troubled economy, it is nice on occasion to see justice done on the cheap and nowhere in America was it so sorely needed as it was in Washington State this past weekend.
With
the funerals scheduled for these fallen heroes occurring over the next few days,
the families of the slain officers should look into filing wrongful death lawsuits
against former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee. While litigation won't return
these fallen heroes to their families and communities, it will at least make
it possible for these families to send their children to college and take care
of other expenses. It will also ensure that both the State of Arkansas and Mike
Huckabee are brought to account for reckless actions that were directly responsible
for the deaths of these officers.
I respect the fact that Huckabee has been a pastor and that he believes in compassion and mercy, as do I. What needs to be kept in mind however is that the fact remains that while this defendant - later turned cop killer - was only 17 when he drew a prison sentence of 95 years, he drew that sentence for a reason. The only reason he could've drawn such a harsh sentence was because the jury had to have felt that he was evil incarnate and fully capable of murder. The judge and/or jury sent a clear and convincing signal that this guy was a done deal and had to be put away for his own good as well as the community at large, and yet Huckabee thought he knew better than the jury who heard the case.
Not only do I believe Huckabee should be held civilly liable for his role in this matter, he also needs to be held - if possible - criminally responsible as well. Should Lakewood Police build a strong enough case against Huckabee, he should be arrested and charged with criminally negligent homicide - four counts - and brought to answer in a court of law for his actions that were directly responsible for the execution of four police officers. As I see it, Huckabee's political career is over. Finished. Kaput. Dead in the Water. Flatlined.
In 1988, former Governor and then-presidential candidate Michael Dukakis (D-MA) had Willie Horton derail his White House bid by committing armed robbery, assault and rape while on a 'weekend pass' from prison where Horton was serving a life sentence without parole for murder. Huckabee now has a serial cop-killer hanging over his head as a Sword of Damocles that will follow him all the rest of his days which is just as well.
You will notice I haven't mentioned the cop killer by name; doing so would be a slap in the face to the officers families and communities, and would only serve to 'stroke' the ego of a human waste now residing in Hell alongside Timothy McVeigh, Saddam Hussein and the Ayatollah Khomeini.
I hope Cop Killer likes his newfound friends; he'll certainly feel at home with them. ***
