Slang and Swearing

TAP fancies itself as a tasteful and tolerant magazine; therefore, we would appreciate it if you abstain from using certain words. If you must use them, use the first letter and a series of dashes.

For instance:

Say you are writing an article on how (to pull a name out of the blue) Tommy Ventito is involved in some shady goings on. Being a brave soul, you call him and ask him what he meant when he told (to pull another name from same) Vito Molichari that he was going to be “sleeping with the fishes” sometime this week, in front of a room of old ladies.

He responds, “F--- you and f--- your mom. You think I care about this f------ shit? I don’t answer to no one so f--- off.”

We ask that you mostly refrain from words that rhyme with duck and witch, or are slang for sex or male or female sex organs.

We also strongly discourage the use of words that are racial slurs.
