Internetiquette
Each article may have
to be funneled through as many as five
email accounts before being posted on The
American Partisan. This requires an
idiot-proof system of marking text for
publication. The system has three parts,
spacing, tags and formatting.
1) Spacing
This may be a tough
habit to break but DO NOT INDENT.
Instead, leave an empty space between
paragraphs. Also, leave two spaces
between the period of the last sentence
and the first letter of the new one.
2) Tags
If you mean for
something to appear in Italics surround
it with <I> and <I/>
symbols.
For instance:
<I>You<I/>
try finishing the style guide on three
hours of sleep.
A similar scheme
applies to boldface (<B>) and
underlined text (<U>)
3) Formatting
Send prospective
articles in the text of a message, not as
an attachment.
(Publisher's
note: we cannot stress the
formatting enough!)
