The Last Straw
by Timothy Rollins
JANUARY
5 Ever feel sorry for the proverbial White House camel? When he moved
into the Clinton White House back in 1993, he probably never imagined in his
worst nightmares that hed be on the verge of breaking while his master
(Clinton) was enjoying himself at the expense of just about every person he
ever met in his life.
The first signal Clinton sent out thinking he had been coronated and not inaugurated President of the United States was at the Los Angeles International Airport. After taking care of business in California, he had the Beverly Hills hairdresser Christophe pay a house call on Air Force One to cut the presidents hair and charged Clinton or more likely, the taxpayers $200 for his time. Not to mention the fact that he tied up three runways for close to two hours, thus giving not only the American people the finger with his supreme arrogance, but also delayed international travelers coming into or leaving the United States. This was one of the first straws placed on the back of the camel
We next move on to the firings of the White House Travel Office staff. This was done so as to bring friends of Bill and Hillary from Little Rock in to run things their way. It was not enough to let the staff go; some of the staff were falsely accused by the Clintonites in an effort to justify their illegal actions, and in defending their good names, these career employees who had served their country with distinction had their finances wiped out by expensive legal bills. Again, Clinton arrogance in the extreme.
Then there is the bringing on board of ex-bouncer Craig Livingstone to be the Chief of White House Personnel Security. Wasting no time and acting more than likely under orders from Hillary, Livingstone illegally acquired some 900+ FBI files for the purpose of gathering dirt on enemies of the administration, real or imagined. Can you say extortion? Again, more Clinton arrogance and another straw on the camels back.
Next thing you know, Hillary has the White House chef fired because he reportedly didnt look American. Can you say bigotry - from the tolerant Hillary Clinton? He finally left after a large cash settlement and an outstanding recommendation for his next job.
Is it just me, or do you think the trappings of power really went to their heads?
As all of this is going on, we have White House Deputy Counsel Vince Foster dying of a suicide at Fort Marcy Park. Why Fort Marcy Park? Because it falls under the control of the National Park Service, the one federal enforcement agency least equipped or qualified to handle a case of this magnitude.
When Clinton came to office, he said he would have the most ethical administration in American history. What the American people actually got was the most scandal-ridden, investigated and indicted administration this country has ever known. One cannot help but think that President Ulysses S. Grant is smiling right now. Henry Cisneros, Mike Espy, Bruce Babbitt, Al Gore and the President himself are the big names, among others. Not to mention Ron Brown.
You remember Ron Brown, dont you? A one-time chairman of the Democratic National Committee, he was serving as Clintons Commerce Secretary at the time his plane went down on approach to the Dubrovnik airport, killing him and all aboard. The thing about the Brown death that stands out are the statements made by military pathologists about what appeared to be a bullet hole in Browns skull.
Shortly thereafter, the pathologists were silenced and professionally isolated. It was common knowledge that Brown was on the verge of indictment and was ready to do his version of a canary opera in order to save his skin. And then he suddenly dies in a plane crash? How convenient. This guy (Clinton) has luck at evading trouble that would do even Vegas proud. That, or he makes his own luck.
It is easy to see how the straws are building upon the back of the camel at this point, and you think the Clintons would give the poor camel a break. Not a chance.
Meanwhile, there are more matters coming to the public attention which the press simply cannot ignore, try as they might.
Kathleen Willey tells 60 MINUTES that Clinton groped her in the White House while making a rather pitifully clumsy pass at her. Can you say sexual harassment or more accurately, sexual assault? Eric Margolis is a respected international columnist whom Clinton trailed at Georgetown by two years. Margolis has mentioned in past columns that he had heard about this Clinton fellow who had "the finesse of an Ozark hog farmer" if memory serves, and that he thought nothing of hanging folks out to dry once he was done using them, that was. The more things change, the more they stay the same. Never has this been truer in present times than it was with Kathleen Willey, among others.
What makes Kathleen Willey and Kenneth Starr such fun issues for the President to squirm over, is the fact that he was the instrument of his own undoing. This, from a standpoint of championing the very causes of which he himself has run severely afoul.
In addition, Clintons insurance company paid out $850,000 in the Paula Jones case another example of a pitifully made pass from one totally lacking in either finesse or character. Thinking that he may never find one that shared his total lack of discretion or character, he was about to give up in his search for extracurricular activity. Then Monica Lewinsky happened on the White House stage, thus setting in motion an affair that would last for a year and a half. Were it not for Linda Tripp wearing a body wire, the scope of his involvement with Lewinsky may have never fully come to light.
So when the House Judiciary Committee began hearings on the possibility of impeaching the President, Judiciary Committee Chairman Henry Hyde (R-IL) gave the President a chance to come clean by answering in writing 81 questions that had been sent to him. Instead of having it back in a week as asked, almost three weeks went by before the answers were sent to the Hill, which did wonders in alienating the fence sitters on the impeachment issue not just for the timing, but for the answers as well.
Clinton once again showed his true colors as not only a habitual liar, but a pathological one as well. I swear the SOB should get an Emmy for his performances. When it comes to acting, Ronald Reagan has nothing on this guy. That, and Ronnie has integrity, a concept that is anathema to Clinton and others of his stripe.
All this is small potatoes in comparison to the two remaining straws, either of which will break the camels back in several places. The Cox Committee report on the sale of sensitive technology to the Government of China is expected to show a pattern of reckless disregard and possibly treasonous behavior that has put at severe and possibly irreparable risk, the national security of the United States and her people. These actions, if substantiated, could lead to the potential enslavement of what is still (for now) the greatest nation on earth, despite Clinton, by a government that considers us to be an enemy.
Finally, the world is holding its breath for the results of the DNA tests conducted last month on Danny Williams, who many believe to be the illegitimate son of Bill Clinton. Should this test come back positive, it would be the issue that breaks the camels back and sinks Clinton once and for all. The issues wouldnt be that either the mother was black or that she was a prostitute. The issue would be that Bill Clinton would be the worlds most high-profile Deadbeat Dad.
Which goes to show the only real losers in this whole sordid situation would be Danny Williams and Chelsea Clinton.
And of course, the poor camel.
